My family and I have been renting cottages on the Outer Bank and Hatteras Island for over 30 years. One day during our vacation I was enjoying a morning walk on the island and I began thinking how nice it would be to purchase my own cottage. A few days after our vacation and when we got home I began calling real estates to set up an appointment. I set up an appointment for a week later with two real estates, one being Trisha and Bette of Midgett Realty and one with a competitor of theirs. We met the competitor first and he carried my wife and I around and showed us some of the lots and cottages available. When it became time to meet with Trisha and Bette we had not completed our tour so I called Trisha and canceled our appointment. We actually picked a couple of different lot options with the agent and asked him for more info and he said he would call me in a couple of days. After a couple of days I called him and left messages for a full week without response. I finally reached him on his cell and he told me he did not have any information for me as of yet. Ironically a few minutes later I received a call from Trisha asking if I was still interested in making an appointment. I began to tell her my frustration with the competitor and she promised me that would not happen with her. Well we found out that she was right. On our first appointment we signed a contract on a fairly new cottage. Although we were frightened at the thought of going way over our heads with the purchase, Trisha and Bette walked us through the process in a very professional manner and carried us to the finish line with the purchase. That was only three years ago for us and we are currently in the process of completing our 6th land and cottage sell/purchase with Trisha and Bette. I have also referred several of my friends to Midgett Realty and they are equally satisfied with the service. We not only consider Trisha and Bette as our Real Estate Agents but also as very good friends whom we fully trust with all of our transactions.
